The Chiltern Hills Rally Road Run 2024, hosted by Haddenham Classics, was a resounding success. More than 20 classic cars participated alongside a classic coach on the 36-mile run on Sunday 19 May .
The group departed from Aylesbury Tuck at 8.30am, taking in scenic views of the Chiltern hills and points of interest like Waddesdon Manor, Brill Windmill, and the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, along the well-planned route. Haddenham Classics captured excellent aerial and ground video footage to commemorate the run which will be available to download soon. Thanks to John Walton for help with marshalling and Heimdallr (www.heimdallr.com) for filming.
Participants arrived at the Chiltern Hills Rally showground in Weedon in good time for the main event. The smooth organisation and guided directions from the marshalls and Chiltern Hills Rally organisers ensured everyone made it safely to the show.
After this year's successful event featuring a fantastic array of classic vehicles, Haddenham Classics is already looking forward to hosting the Chiltern Hills Rally Road Run in 2025.
Haddenham Classics was also in attendance at the Chiltern Hills Rally itself - our very first year attending with a club stand, alongside our partner club, the Hellfire Motor Vehicle Club. It was a brilliant day spent enjoying classic vehicles, from an array of clubs and individuals, in the beautiful Buckinghamshire countryside. We put on a good show for spectators in the glorious sunshine.
We'd like to thank Dave Robinson and Adrian Bull for helping with setting up and manning the stands and all those that helped us on the day. Attendance at the event was fantastic with classics and modern cars, buses, trucks and military vehicles of all types and sizes. As always, the show has benefitted many local charities from the donations raised.
